Au revoir Paris

My week in Paris has come to an end.  I wish I had planned more time here, but alas the adventure must continue.

A relaxed sophistication envelopes Paris.  The ancient history of this beautiful city makes one realize that we have been here a very long time and that we will be here for a long time to come.

No one rushes about with coffees-to-go.  The Parisians have turned having a café into an art form; to be taken in a relaxed manner, seated at a quaint bistro table in one of the cafés you find on every street corner.  Everyone smells wonderful; a person can get intoxicated just walking down a sidewalk when everyone is headed to work in the morning!   Everyone looks wonderful with effortless casual elegance.  Nary did I see a pair of yoga pant clad legs saunter past with the requisite water bottle in hand.

If you visit Paris:

  • Walk everywhere as much as you can.

  • Go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

  • Spend an afternoon in Parc Monceau.

  • Plan a whole day at Château de Versailles.

  • Visit the Musée du Louvre in the evening.

With love I say, "Au revoir Paris.  Until we meet again!"
